Element Details: Series.Waterfall
 Back

Available in: Logi Info Source code name: Series.WaterfallIntroduced in: v11.3.049

The Series.Waterfall element creates a Waterfall chart within the chart canvas.

Waterfall charts are similar to bar charts, except that each bar starts from the position of the previous bar, instead of zero. It helps to show cumulative effect of values.

Element Group: Chart Series

ATTRIBUTES

NamePossible ValuesDescription
BarBorderColor
UserDefined
Transparent
Bars are drawn with a thin border. Enter a color by name, decimal RGB value, or hex RGB value. Prefix hex values with the pound sign, like #112233.
BarBorderColorTransparency
UserDefined
7
15
0
The related Bar Border Color attribute sets the color of bar border lines. Bar Border Color Transparency adds transparency to that color. The lowest value of “0” specifies that the border line is opaque, with no transparency. At the other end of the scale, “15” specifies a completely transparent line. Use medium-level transparency to allow different chart layers to show through each other.
BarBorderRadius
UserDefined
Sets the amount of rounding for bar corners, in pixels. The default value is 0 pixels, which produces square corners.
BarBorderThickness
UserDefined
Sets the thickness of the border lines, in pixels, when the related Bar Border Color attribute has a value. The default value is 1 pixel.
BarThickness
UserDefined
Sets the thickness of the bar in pixels. The default value is 10 for Gauge.Bar. Other elements calculate bar thickness automatically.
ChartLabelColumn
UserDefined
Set this to a column returned from the DataLayer. It represents the name of each item, or data value, charted. For charts with x and y axes, these are listed across the x-axis.
ChartYDataColumn
UserDefined
(Required) Specifies the name of a datalayer column whose values will be plotted along the Y-axis.
Color
UserDefined
Sets the element's color. Enter a color by name, decimal RGB value, or hex RGB value. Prefix hex values with the pound sign, like #112233. For bar charts, each bar can be a different color by entering multiple colors, each separated by a comma. When using a Crosstab Filter under the Chart's DataLayer, use comma-separated colors and a Legend element so each crosstab set can be identified.
CombineWithSeriesID
UserDefined
When two series are combined, by default only the first one will appear in the legend. Clicking the item in the legend toggles both series to appear and disappear. Set this attribute to the element ID of another series to combine it with this series in the legend. Or, the value "Previous" can be entered to combine this series with the previous series.
DisableMouseTracking
True
False
Disables mouse tracking for a specific series, when set to "True". This affects tooltips and click events on graphs and points. For large datasets, this may improve performance. The default value is "False".
HoverBrightness
UserDefined
HoverBrightness allows customization of regions' brightness when the mouse pointer hovers over charts. Values can be between 0 (no change) and 15 (lighter). The default is 2.
ID
UserDefined
The ID attribute is a pervasive attribute that uniquely identifies an element within a definition file. The ID needs to be a unique value within the definition.
IntermediateSumBarColor
UserDefined
Transparent
Sets the element's color. Enter a color by name, decimal RGB value, or hex RGB value. Prefix hex values with the pound sign, like #112233.
IntermediateSumBarColorTransparency
UserDefined
7
15
0
The related Intermediate Sum Bar Color attribute. Intermediate Sum Bar Color Transparency adds transparency to that color. The lowest value of "0" specifies that the border line is opaque, with no transparency. At the other end of the scale, "15" specifies a completely transparent line. Use medium-level transparency to allow different chart layers to show through each other.
IntermediateSumColumn
UserDefined
An intermediate sum is an extra bar in the waterfall chart showing sum of values before a certain point on the x-axis. To show intermediate sums, configure the DataLayer so there is a row inserted at the point of the desired intermediate sum. In this row, have a column with value of "True". Set the name of the column in this attribute.
LegendLabel
UserDefined
Indicates text that will be shown for this layer inside the chart legend.
LinkedToXAxisID
UserDefined
Specifies the ID of an X-Axis element that this series should be linked to when using multiple X-axes.
LinkedToYAxisID
UserDefined
Specifies the ID of an Y-Axis element that this series should be linked to when using multiple Y-axes.
NegativeColor
UserDefined
Sets the color for negative values. Enter a color by name, decimal RGB value, or hex RGB value. Prefix hex values with the pound sign, e.g. #D5F484.
NegativeColorTransparency
UserDefined
7
15
0
The related Negative Color attribute sets the color for negative values. Negative Color Transparency adds transparency to that color. The lowest value of “0” specifies that the value color is opaque, with no transparency. At the other end of the scale, “15” specifies a completely transparent color. Use medium-level transparency to allow different chart layers to show through each other.
TotalBarColor
UserDefined
Transparent
Sets the element's color. Enter a color by name, decimal RGB value, or hex RGB value. Prefix hex values with the pound sign, like #112233.
TotalBarColorTransparency
UserDefined
7
15
0
The related Total Bar Color attribute. Total Bar Color Transparency adds transparency to that color. The lowest value of "0" specifies that the border line is opaque, with no transparency. At the other end of the scale, "15" specifies a completely transparent line. Use medium-level transparency to allow different chart layers to show through each other.
TotalBarLabel
UserDefined
None
Sets the label for summary bar. When set to “None”, summary bar is not be shown. Default value is “Total”.
Transparency
UserDefined
7
15
0
Indicates a level of transparency of the element. The lowest value of 0 indicates that the element is opaque, with no transparency. The other end of the scale, 15, indicates a completely transparent element. Use medium-level transparency to allow different chart layers to show through each other.
