 Back

Available in: Logi Info Source code name: MovingAverageColumn

MovingAverageColumn adds a new column in the DataLayer based on the average value of another column spread over some number of rows of previous rows. Moving Averages smooth data series and make it easier to spot trends.

Set the ID to the name of the new column.

Set DataColumn to a numeric column to be averaged.

MovingAveragePeriod represents number of rows that are averaged together. Set this to a desired period, or set to 0 to build a running average with the period equal to the number of rows.

In a report definition, averages may be recalculated when a DataTable is sorted by clicking on a column header. Set ReCalculateAfterSort to True.
